Your Support Is Changing Women’s Lives
Letter from Fr. Regis
“The happiest I’ve been in the last three years.”
That’s what your generosity has done for Wendy. Last spring, in 2019, she found the Julia Greeley Home, and everything began to change. Until then she had been living for several years in homeless conditions. Now she is moving forward this Thanksgiving season with a new apartment, rediscovered skills, and an amazing new outlook on life. I hope you’ll take a moment to enjoy Wendy’s story here, and see her talented work.
This is why I am asking for your continued support of our program this holiday and Christmas season — because you are changing the lives of individual women for the better.
Please take a moment to visit our Support page and see the ways you can join us in our mission. You will be contributing in a practical and powerful way to helping women rediscover their unique dignity that comes from God, and a sure way to find purpose and meaning in life.
Like Wendy, each resident is encouraged to find her individual path to self sufficiency. What brings them together is the Christ-centered spiritual support and family-style encouragement they find through our Julia Greeley program.
Each woman gets the time she needs to recover from the traumatic events that led to their homelessness, and time to meet her goals to find work, independent housing and even reconciliation with family. We also have access to a scholarship program for qualified women to fulfill their education.
Wendy has succeeded, so did Penny, Sheree, Robin, and our growing number of graduates from the Julia Greeley Home program, all because of the generous donations given by people like you.
God bIess you for supporting those who are struggling to rebuild their lives. Remember, He is never outdone in generosity.
I am remembering you in my prayers,
Father Regis Scanlon OFM Cap
