**Considering the Julia Greeley Home?
Important Information About Eligibility**
The Julia Greeley Home offers a safe, family-style environment for women seeking stability, dignity, and a fresh start. Before applying, please review the following information to help determine whether our home may be the right fit for you.
Age Requirement
Guests must be 18 years or older to participate in our program.
Children
Our program cannot accommodate children. Only individual adult women may stay with us.
Health & Disability Considerations
We are a non-medical, family-style home, and all guests must be in “good-enough health” to care for themselves without daily assistance.
Please note:
- We are unable to accommodate wheelchairs or overnight mechanical devices that generate noise, such as traditional oxygen machines.
- Silent CPAP machines may be considered.
- Service animals cannot be accommodated due to safety concerns.
- Guests may take prescription medications that are verified as prescribed by a doctor.
Sobriety Requirement
Sobriety is mandatory. Guests must have a track record of abstaining from alcohol and/or drugs (including marijuana) and agree to random testing during their stay.
Assessments & Safety
To maintain the well-being of everyone in the home, all guests must consent to the following upon entry:
- Mental health assessment
- Physical health assessment
- Background check
These are for the protection of the community, including you.
Work & Financial Contribution
Our program helps women transition back into a stable life. Guests must be:
- Willing and able to work
- Motivated to participate in programming
Each resident contributes a modest fee each month, which supports accountability and preparation for independent living.
Christian Environment
We welcome women of any faith or none at all. However, the home is rooted in Christian values and practices:
- A weekly Bible study is required in attendance (but participation is at your comfort level).
- The overall environment and routines reflect our Christian mission.
You do not need to be or become Christian to be part of our program.
Family-Style Living
Life at the Julia Greeley Home includes:
- Shared bedrooms
- Shared cooking and cleaning responsibilities
- A nightly curfew
- Mandatory evening programming as part of community life
Applicants should feel comfortable living closely with others in a structured, supportive home.
Homelessness History
We ask applicants to share how long they have been experiencing homelessness. This helps us understand your situation and how best to support your next steps.
Additional Information
We encourage women to share anything else they feel is important for us to know. Every story matters, and this helps us better understand how we can walk with you toward stability and hope.
