Our Julia
has made it
to Rome.
Next step:
Miracles!
A century ago, few people noticed as she lugged her little red wagon around the streets of Denver.
Today, Julia Greeley is a center of attention in Rome because her cause for canonization has reached an exciting step. A writer has been officially hired in Rome to gather Julia’s life story into a summary (“Positio”) that will make the case that Denver’s “Angel of Charity” should be declared a saint.
Dr Cristiana Marinelli, an experienced, Rome-based writer, will develop the “Position on the Life, Virtues and Fame of Sancity” of Julia Greeley, and submit her work to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.
Dr. Marinelli will show in her “Positio” that Julia lived a life of heroic virtue and great holiness. Her evidence comes from a series of interviews with people both notable and ordinary, who can offer insight into aspects of Julia’s life. These testimonies were overseen by the Archdiocese in Denver in 2017-2018.
Dr. Marinelli has a great track record – she has submitted works on 17 other future saints, and one of them is the African American, Father Augustus Tolton, who has already been declared “Venerable.” That’s the next title in line for Julia. After that, there’s one more title to go — “Blessed” — before she can be declared St. Julia Greeley.
What’s just ahead? Miracles!
It’s time to document miracles obtained through Julia’s intercession. If you believe you have a miracle to share, visit juliagreeley.org for information on how to participate.
Julia Greeley, pray for us!
