This year, we are celebrating Julia’s Greeley’s entrance into eternal life at the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Monday, June 6, 2022. The memorial Mass will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Denver Colorado, 1530 Logan St., 80203.
Some people ask why we “celebrate” Julia’s death, which happened on June 7, 1918. First of all, death itself is only transitory, because our ultimate goal should always be Heaven – and that’s good!
In Julia’s case, there’s another reason — she’s on the path to sainthood and far enough along in the process to be recognized — a century after she died — for her extraordinary life. Even at her funeral, mourners took five hours to pass by her casket to pay their respects to Denver’s “Angel of Charity.”
Her cause for canonization has reached the next step — Rome is seeking evidence of true miracles of healing that can be attributed to Julia’s intercession.
If you believe you have an unexplained miracle of healing to share, share your news with the Julia Greeley Guild http://juliagreeley.org/ The Guild is the Denver-based ministry dedicated to furthering Julia’s cause for canonization. Your information will be passed on to the appropriate officials in Rome.
