How one man
values the
impact of
Julia Greeley
Gregory Agwu came early to pray at Julia’s tomb: Born in Nigeria, he is father of four sons, a citizen of the USA for 40 years and a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in Denver.

“I love Julia for what she stands for. She was somebody who was very compassionate. I’ve read her history, and even after being a slave, she was very compassionate, always taking care of the little ones. She wanted peace for everybody. With all the hardship she went through, she never held it against anybody; she never tried to retaliate. She depended on God to see her through. And she loved children. So, I pray to her to intercede for me and for my family.”
