A calm
and steady
presence
at Julia’s
Pam is a steady and calm presence at the Julia Greeley Home. Like many women at Julia’s, a personal crisis put Pam’s independence and professional career on hold. “I never thought I’d be in a similar situation at any point in my life, which is why I’m just glad to be here, at Julia’s,” she’s told us.
Pam now has the time and secure environment to think about the future and plan her next step. She’s looking for a senior living apartment where she can continue to work on photography and nature art, and start to give back. “I’d like to put my photographs on three-by-five postcards and on a website, for other people to enjoy, too,” she’s told us.
Pam is known for her straightforward approach to life, and she can pack a lot of wise advice in a few sentences: “Follow what makes you happy. Keep the faith. I’ve tried to do that in several ways. Personally, I like keeping a journal. Especially if you get off track, a journal helps bring you back … I go to the bible to find answers to life’s problems. One of those answers is, “Turn the other cheek.” Learn what’s important, and do what you have to do.”
